As of 4 am Saturday 15 July 2023, Glen Huntly Road is (finally) open again. There is still much work to be done to finish the level crossing removal project but the road is open again – for both vehicles and pedestrians. Neerim Road is also open.

The replacement Glen Huntly train station is taking shape although it will be a few weeks before trains are stopping. The tram stops outside the new station are in place and trams appear to be running again.
