Comments:	Saint Catherine’s Monastery in the Egyptian Sinai was built by order of Emperor Justinian in 548/565 and is at the foot of Mount Sinai where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Believed to be the oldest continuously occupied Monastery in the world, the monks of St Catherine’s have preserved a vast collection of ancient manuscripts and Icons. Saint Catherine’s was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2002
